Ostara Gardens at Neuhoff District
I am excited to announce that Ostara Gardens has signed on as a tenant in the Neuhoff District in Germantown. Nashville has seen an incredible amount of development over the past decade, and promises to see more, but amongst all of it, Neuhoff stands out as distinctive and particularly inspired. It’s just really, really cool. A series of historic brick buildings along the Cumberland River has been revitalized by New City Properties, an Atlanta based firm that has a special touch when it comes to actualizing the potential of a place. They have exquisitely married the old and new, and I feel so fortunate to continue my creative work here.
In addition to the place, the people and businesses starting to fill out the development are another reason we are thrilled to be a part of it. It seems almost too good to be true - but it’s true! There are major office tenants like Butler Snow Law and JE Dunn Construction, as well as flagship retailer Sid & Ann Mashburn, cocktail bar Close Company, Atlanta based restaurant Fishmonger, and new concepts from local restaurant favorites Peninsula and Kisser opening in the new year.
2025 will be my 10th year as a florist. I began this career in my single car garage with one tiny window. I had a handful of people that believed in me early on, and their consistent support allowed me to learn on the job, learn by doing. Looking back on it - what a beautiful time, what a gift. The past ten years have been filled with different ideas and expressions of what I want out of this work. And I think in essence it’s this - I love fine and fleeting pleasures, beauty and the natural world. I want above all tactile, sensory filled experiences that hit just the right note. Ostara Gardens at Neuhoff will hopefully live up to my lofty ideals in the flowers we make and the shop experience we create. I know I will certainly enjoy trying.
Xx,
Avon
